UST libero Detdet Pepito returns for another year

University of Santo Tomas star libero Detdet Pepito has decided to play one more year for the Tigresses in the UAAP Season 88.

Pepito's decision comes after UST fans and community members expressed their desire for her to return, chanting 'one more year' following the team's exit from the Final Four.

UST deputy coach Yani Fernandez confirmed Pepito's decision along with a post by Fr. Rodel Cansancio, O.P., who shared a photo of himself with Pepito and Jonna Perdido.

Pepito cited the support from her teammates, coaches, and the UST community as key factors in her decision to return for one last season, alongside Jonna Perdido, who will also come back after missing this season due to injury.

The returning players aim to lead UST's redemption tour next year with newly joined player Jonna Perdido completing a powerful trio that includes Angge Poyos and Reg Jurado.
