UST beats Adamson and Ateneo in UAAP men's volleyball

University of Santo Tomas defeated Adamson University and Ateneo de Manila University in straight sets (26-24, 25-17, 25-22) to strengthen their Final Four aspirations in the UAAP Season 87 Men's Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.

UST's victory over Ateneo marked their seventh win of the season and avenged their earlier loss to the Blue Eagles, improving their record to 7-4.

Josh Ybañez led all scorers with 24 points while Popoy Colinares contributed 13 points. The Golden Spikers also dominated the blocking category 13-2.

UST will face University of the East next Saturday at the Big Dome, while Ateneo looks to bounce back against FEU Tamaraws on Wednesday.
