UP Maroons lead men's league, eye twice-to-beat incentive

The Fighting Maroons of University of the Philippines (UP) are in second place with a 9-1 win-loss record, trailing only defending champion De La Salle University (10-1) in the league standings.

A victory against National University combined with Far Eastern University's potential win over the University of the East would secure UP and La Salle twice-to-beat incentives in the semifinals.

The Maroons have a three-game lead over third-place Red Warriors, who recently lost two out of their last three matches.

UP coach Goldwin Monteverde emphasized the importance of teamwork and health as they prepare for their upcoming games, including their crucial match against National University on Sunday at 3 p.m.

In the women's division, NU aims to extend its winning streak to 10 games against UP, while FEU faces UE in a crucial match.
