Typhoon Odette affects 4.9M Filipinos; death toll at 407

As of January 5, a total of 4,883,084 individuals or 1,243,635 families have been affected by Typhoon Odette across 11 regions in the Philippines.

The death toll remains at 407, with 76 confirmed and the rest still being validated.

There are currently 1,487 evacuation centers operating and serving 86,227 families, while an additional 36,364 families are receiving aid outside shelters.

A total of 1,147 people have been reported injured, with 74 confirmed injuries and the rest still being verified.
