Tuguegarao implements MECQ due to rising COVID-19 cases

Tuguegarao City will implement a 14-day modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting October 3 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

The local government reported 82 active cases of the virus and Mayor Jefferson Soriano said that the city has experienced community transmission, meaning some cases cannot be traced back to their source.

Regular operations at the DFA consular office in Tuguegarao will temporarily suspend from October 5 to 16 during this period.

Applicants affected by the closure must secure a new appointment by emailing tuguegarao.rco@dfa.gov.ph with necessary details.
