Robredo not seeking IATF post, willing to help

Vice President Leni Robredo clarified on Sunday that she is not seeking a position in the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, which leads the country's coronavirus response.

Robredo emphasized her willingness to help regardless of having an official government post, responding to comments from presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Roque appreciated Robredo’s contributions to fighting COVID-19 but advised her to offer concrete solutions rather than criticism.

Trillanes challenged Malacañang to appoint Robredo as IATF chief if they truly want to improve the country's pandemic response.
