Gov't bans travel from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, UAE until end of May

The Philippine government has expanded its travel ban to include Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) until May 31 in response to the threat of the B.1.617.2 coronavirus variant first detected in India.

Travelers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are also banned until May 31.

The ban on travelers with a history of visiting Oman or UAE within 14 days before arrival is effective starting May 15.

Those arriving from these two countries before May 15 must complete a 14-day quarantine in an accredited facility.
