UST beats FEU 83-72, ends two-game slide

Mo Tounkara of University of Santo Tomas (UST) led his team to a victory against Far Eastern University with 21 points and 17 rebounds, ending their two-game losing streak in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament.

Despite previous losses to La Salle and UP, Tounkara emphasized the importance of defense and rebounding, which helped UST secure an 83-72 win over FEU on Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Tounkara acknowledged that his team had a tough game against Adamson but expressed optimism for the upcoming second round, where they will continue to improve through preparation.

The Malian center highlighted the need to protect the paint and shared the ball effectively with teammates like Nic Cabañero to secure the victory over FEU's Mo Konateh.

Tounkara remains focused on the challenging road ahead in the second round of the tournament, aiming for a Final Four bid with continued hard work and team effort.
