TNT beats Converge 98-96 in PBA Commissioner's Cup

TNT Tropang GIGA narrowly defeated Converge FiberXers in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup on Saturday, winning 98-96.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT to victory with a standout performance of 31 points, securing 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block, including a crucial jumper near the end of the game.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes highlighted his team's defensive efforts against Converge's strong shooting squad, emphasizing their rivalry as industry rivals in telecommunications.

Despite Cheick Diallo's impressive 37-point, 15-rebound effort for Converge, the FiberXers lost their five-game winning streak and fell to a 6-3 record.

With this win, TNT extended its winning streak to four games and improved their overall record to 4-2. Coach Reyes noted that every game against Converge is challenging but praised his team's defensive play.

RR Pogoy contributed 22 points for TNT, while Rey Nambatac added 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
