TNT beats Meralco 101-99 in PBA thriller

TNT narrowly defeated Meralco in a thrilling PBA Commissioner's Cup game, winning 101-99 on Tuesday night.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson sealed the victory for TNT with two free throws after drawing a foul from Akil Mitchell with 10 seconds left, securing a two-point lead.

Calvin Oftana and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson each scored 24 points, leading TNT to overcome Meralco's late surge despite nearly squandering a 23-point advantage.

Akil Mitchell led Meralco with 24 points and 18 rebounds but could not secure the victory as TNT's resilience proved decisive in the final moments.

The win improves TNT's record to 3-2 while Meralco drops to 4-3 in the standings.

TNT will face Converge next on January 11, followed by Meralco taking on NLEX on January 15.
