TNT beats Meralco 101-84, Pogoy scores 34

TNT defeated Meralco with a score of 101-84 on Sunday evening at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, securing their third straight win.

Roger Pogoy led TNT with a season-high 34 points, scoring 16 in the fourth quarter alone, including three triples and one four-pointer, while emphasizing his defensive contributions.

Calvin Oftana added 28 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals for TNT, supporting Pogoy's efforts during their winning streak.

Despite Meralco's struggles, key players like Chris Newsome and Bong Quinto were unable to make significant impacts due to TNT’s defensive adjustments.

Meralco managed only 12 points in the fourth quarter, allowing TNT to extend their lead for the victory. Cliff Hodge was the top scorer for Meralco with 23 points.

TNT improved to seventh place and will face Rain or Shine on Wednesday at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo City.
