TNT beats Rain or Shine 98-91 in PBA semis Game 1

The TNT Tropang 5G secured a 98-91 victory over the Rain or Shine ElastoPainters in Game 1 of their PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup semifinals series on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

TNT coach Chot Reyes highlighted that his team's strong defense was crucial to the win, limiting RoS to just 91 points and preventing them from sustaining a lead throughout the game.

RR Pogoy led TNT with 28 points and four assists, while JP Erram contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, alongside five other players who scored in double figures.

The balanced attack by TNT's bench players, including Simon Enciso and Jordan Heading, was instrumental in maintaining the lead late in the game.

Rain or Shine struggled with foul trouble and missed opportunities to mount a comeback, leading to coach Yeng Guiao being ejected for technical fouls.
