Rain or Shine's Mamuyac regrets missed shot, PBA admits review error

Rain or Shine guard Gian Mamuyac struggled with his missed game-winning shot and a shooting foul that sent Game 2 into overtime during the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals against TNT on Friday.

Despite missing the potential winning three-pointer at the end of regulation, Mamuyac expressed no regrets, stating that it felt good but just didn't go in.

Mamuyac acknowledged his defensive mistake, noting that fouling earlier could have given his team a better chance to stop TNT's Calvin Oftana from hitting the game-tying free throws with 7.7 seconds left.

The PBA later reviewed video footage and admitted on Saturday that Oftana should have been awarded four free throws instead of three, but this did not change the outcome of the game which ended in a 113-105 loss for Rain or Shine.

Mamuyac finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists as his team fell to a 0-2 series deficit against TNT.

Despite the setback, Mamuyac remained focused on redemption, emphasizing that there will be another opportunity to make a crucial shot in future games.
