Tim Cone named interim coach for Gilas in Asian Games

Tim Cone has been named as the interim coach for Gilas Pilipinas ahead of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

Cone replaces Chot Reyes who stepped down from his position five days prior.

The SBP president Al Panlilio cited 'continuity' as a factor in choosing Cone, who previously coached the national team to a bronze medal at the 1998 Asian Games.

Cone plans to bring back PBA stalwarts and naturalized players for the tournament, aiming to put up a competitive squad despite limited preparation time.
