Fajardo, Thompson lead Gilas for Asian Games

June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Scottie Thompson, and Justin Brownlee are confirmed starters for the Philippines' men's basketball team in the 19th Asian Games.

Tim Cone will coach the team, which includes seven players from the recent FIBA World Cup roster: Kiefer Ravena, June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, CJ Perez, RR Pogoy, Japeth Aguilar, and Jamie Malonzo.

Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, and Brandon Rosser are also part of the initial squad, with potential additions from other players who were part of the World Cup team.

The final roster is yet to be finalized as changes may still occur before the games begin on September 23 in Hangzhou, China.
