Duterte: More OFWs to be repatriated, praise frontline workers

President Rodrigo Duterte announced plans to repatriate thousands more Filipino overseas workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Duterte stated that over 345,000 OFWs needed to return home and half have already been brought back.

Duterte praised the resilience of Filipino migrant workers who continue to work on the frontlines despite losing their livelihoods and health due to the pandemic.
