Thomasian tops bar exams after 23 years

Ephraim Porciuncula Bie, a University of Santo Tomas graduate, topped the 2023 bar examinations with an 89.2625 percent score.

Bie's achievement marks the first time in 23 years that someone from UST has topped the exams.

Despite finding the exams difficult, Bie persevered and became the first lawyer in his family.

UST Civil Law Dean Nilo Divina congratulated Bie for ending a 23-year drought of topnotchers from UST.

The celebration included dinner, fireworks, and a mass hosted by the UST Faculty of Civil Law.
