3,812 pass 2023 Bar exams; rate drops to 36.77%

A total of 3,812 examinees passed this year's bar examinations in the Philippines, with a passing rate of 36.77%, lower than last year’s 43.47%.

The highest individual score was achieved by Ephraim Porciuncula Bie from UST, followed by Mark Josel Padua Vivit from Ateneo Law and Frances Camille Altonaga Francisco from San Beda University.

Top-performing law schools included Ateneo de Manila University with a 94.08% passing rate for first-time examinees, San Beda University at 92.2%, the University of San Carlos at 90.91%, UP at 89.45%, and UST at 85.25%.

The Supreme Court will hold oath-taking ceremonies on December 22 for this year's successful examinees.
