Chinese boy suspected of nCoV tests negative

A five-year-old Chinese boy suspected of being infected with the novel coronavirus (nCoV) has tested negative in Australia.

The confirmatory test results, received on January 24 and January 25, were conducted at the Victorian Infectious Disease Reference Laboratory in Melbourne.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III assured Filipinos that the DOH will continue to monitor the situation and implement measures to contain any potential threat of nCoV.
