Manila denies nCoV case at Binondo hospital

The Manila Health Department on Monday denied reports of a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus at Metropolitan Hospital in Binondo.

Dr. Arnold Pangan, Manila City Health Officer, stated that a 27-year-old male Chinese national hospitalized with fever and cough has been diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia, not the novel coronavirus.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information online to prevent unnecessary panic.
