PH tracks down, monitors family of Hong Kong's suspected coronavirus case

Philippine immigration officials have tracked down a Chinese family suspected of carrying the new coronavirus from Wuhan.

The family arrived in Manila on Wednesday after traveling from Hong Kong, where a 39-year-old man tested preliminarily positive for the virus.

BI has identified and is monitoring the movements of the family, while Justice Secretary Guevarra said they may be referred to the Bureau of Quarantine if necessary.

The BI will also assist the DOH in locating individuals the family interacted with since their arrival.
