NTF warns public not to be 'excited' over eased MECQ restrictions

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 expressed concern over public excitement following the easing of lockdown restrictions under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) that began on May 16.

Task force spokesperson Retired General Restituto Padilla noted crowds at reopened businesses and heavy traffic in parts of Metro Manila and Luzon, urging the public to remain cautious and not get excited about the loosened rules.

Padilla emphasized the need for full understanding of the current situation and called on the public to maintain vigilance against potential virus transmission.
