Bataan records 119 COVID cases, officials seek ECQ extension

As of Thursday, May 14, Bataan has recorded 119 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with six deaths.

Governor Albert Garcia stated there is no flattening of the curve yet and requested an extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until May 31.

Local officials, including Mayor Maria Angela Garcia of Dinalupihan, have recommended province-wide mass testing before lifting ECQ on May 16.

The provincial Inter-Agency Task Force chaired by Governor Garcia has asked for the extension from Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.
