Talisay mayor urges IATF to reconsider MECQ classification

Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas Jr. is urging the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to reconsider reclassifying his city from general community quarantine (GCQ) to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

Gullas claims that the decision was based on inaccurate data provided by DOH-7, which did not reflect Talisay's actual 50 recoveries out of 126 confirmed cases.

He expressed concern over the impact this reclassification will have on his constituents and highlighted discrepancies in the reported figures.
