PAGASA: LPA near Albay brings scattered rains in parts of Luzon

PAGASA reports that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) near Albay and the Tail-end of a Frontal System will affect parts of Luzon on Thursday.

Cagayan Valley, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Aurora, and Quezon are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to these weather systems.

The LPA is moving closer to the Northern Samar-Bicol area but remains unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the Tail-end of a Frontal System and northeast monsoon affected parts of Luzon, leading to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers in Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

As of Monday, the LPA was located 835 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, with effects expected to reach Southern Luzon-Visayas by Tuesday.
