Scattered rainshowers, thunderstorms to hit 8 areas

PAGASA forecasts scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Kalinga, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon due to a frontal system's tail-end and a low-pressure area (LPA).

Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

The LPA was last estimated at 100 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

PAGASA warns residents in affected areas about potential flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
