Taguig has lowest COVID-19 fatality rate in country

Taguig City has one of the lowest COVID-19 fatality rates in the country, with a CFR of 0.72% from June 17 to 23, according to OCTA Research.

This rate is significantly lower than the NCR's 1.5%. Taguig also recorded an average of 53 cases per day during this period, which is 87% lower compared to its peak.

The city attributes its success in managing the pandemic to its healthcare workers and maintaining hospital bed utilization below safe levels.
