Navy and Army distribute food packs to thousands of families

The Philippine Navy distributed 2,034 family food packs donated by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to residents in four barangays in Parañaque City on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The distribution was assisted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, local officials, and civilian volunteers.

Additionally, the Philippine Army distributed 5,000 family food packs to families residing in Barangay 187, Tala, Caloocan City, as part of the ADB's PHP250 million donation intended to aid around 140,000 families affected by the enhanced community quarantine due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Col. Ramon Zagala, PA spokesperson, emphasized that the Army is working tirelessly to help Filipinos in need during this health emergency.
