Suspended Bamban Mayor denies PAOCC allegations

Suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has declared her innocence and is ready to cooperate with the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).

In an 18-page letter delivered to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Guo's legal counsel reiterated the mayor's denial of allegations involving kidnapping, illegal detention, human trafficking, money laundering, and operating POGOs.

Guo asserted that she ran for mayor to serve her constituents rather than protect Baofu Land Development Inc., a local POGO hub.

The PAOCC announced it would file human trafficking charges against Guo earlier this week as part of their ongoing investigation.

Despite the accusations, Guo urged the commission to conduct a fair probe and expressed her willingness to assist in uncovering the truth.
