Seafarers stranded in Manila return to CDO

Forty-six Filipino seafarers stranded in Metro Manila returned to Cagayan de Oro City on Thursday, April 30.

The seafarers traveled by M/V Saint Leo the Great arranged by DOTr for nearly 600 seafarers from Visayas and Mindanao who were either stranded or arrived during the enhanced community quarantine.

Before reaching Cagayan de Oro, the ship also brought home seafarers to Iloilo and Bacolod in Western Visayas.

Earlier on Tuesday, April 28, MARINA reported that a first batch of seafarers had been assisted through 'Balik-Probinsya', with 23 stranded seafarers arriving at Dumaguete Port after traveling from Manila.
