Comelec suspends voter reg in Metro Manila until Aug 31

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that voter registration is still suspended until August 31 in Metro Manila, Bataan, and Laguna due to their MECQ status.

Metro Manila and Laguna will transition from ECQ to MECQ starting Saturday, while Bataan will shift to MECQ on Monday, August 23.

Voter registration is allowed only in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) or modified GCQ (MGCQ), according to a Comelec resolution from August 2020.
