Manila City's Covid lab begins operations

Manila City's own Covid-19 testing laboratory at Sta. Ana Hospital began operations on Thursday after receiving its license to operate from the DOH.

The lab can handle around 200 swab tests per day, doubling Manila City's testing capacity and bringing it up to approximately 350 tests daily.

Sta. Ana Hospital is equipped with a 300-bed capacity and an infectious disease control center, making it well-suited for the task.

As of June 22, Manila has recorded 2,019 cases of COVID-19, including 1,270 active cases, 120 deaths, and 629 recoveries.
