PH logs 999 new Covid-19 cases; total reaches 38,511

The Philippines reported 999 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, July 1, bringing the total number of infections to 38,511.

Of these, 595 were fresh cases with results released within three days and 404 were late cases with results from more than four days ago.

The Department of Health also reported 205 new recoveries and four new deaths, raising the total number of recoveries to 10,438 and the death toll to 1,270.

Among the fresh cases, 175 were from Metro Manila, 134 from Central Visayas, and 286 from other regions. Among late cases, 131 were from Metro Manila, 57 from Central Visayas, and 216 from various areas nationwide.
