Sotto: PSG won't be called for Senate COVID-19 vaccine hearing

Senate President Vicente Sotto III stated on Tuesday that the Presidential Security Group (PSG) will not be summoned for next week's Senate Committee of the Whole hearing on COVID-19 vaccines.

Sotto clarified that he was not planning to call for the PSG, responding to President Duterte’s warning about a 'little crisis' if the PSG were forced to attend the legislative inquiry.

Earlier, Sotto had expressed interest in summoning PSG commander Brigadier General Jesus Durante III for another hearing unrelated to the vaccine rollout scheduled for January 11.
