PSG vaccinated Duterte's security illegally in September

The early vaccination of President Rodrigo Duterte's close-in security detail in September was deemed illegal by public health experts.

Dr. Benjamin Co stated it was wrong as the vaccines were administered without FDA approval, despite PSG justifying the action to protect Duterte from infection.

PSG commander Brigadier General Jesus Durante III said they are ready for any investigation and will take full responsibility for their actions.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana is against vaccinating other troops with unregistered vaccines, emphasizing the need to follow FDA procedures.

Lorenzana claimed that the PSG-administered vaccines were smuggled as no authorization was given by the FDA.
