Duterte grants PHP500 daily hazard pay to frontline workers

President Duterte signed an Administrative Order granting a PHP500 daily hazard pay to government workers who physically report for work during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

The hazard pay applies to regular, contractual, casual employees, and those engaged through contract of service or job order in national government agencies, state universities and colleges, and government-owned or-controlled corporations.

Senator Christopher Lawrence Go supports the proposal, stating that frontline workers deserve additional benefits for their dedication during the pandemic.
