Palace: No forced work for non-essential employees during quarantine

Employees in non-essential establishments should not be forced to work during Luzon's enhanced community quarantine, Malacañang said.

Employers cannot terminate employees who do not report for work due to the quarantine, according to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

President Duterte’s bulletin prohibits employers from firing workers solely because they are not reporting to work and encourages alternative work arrangements.
