San Miguel beats Converge 107-100 in PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals

San Miguel defeated Converge, 107-100, in Game 2 of their quarterfinals series in the PBA Governors' Cup on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum, extending their lead to 2-0.

EJ Anosike led all scorers with 41 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, particularly scoring 17 points in the third quarter to help San Miguel take control of the game.

Coach Jorge Gallent praised his team's composure during crucial moments but emphasized that Game 3 will be a challenging match for Converge, who has nothing to lose.

Despite Justin Arana's exit due to a hyperextended knee, June Mar Fajardo contributed 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Jalen Jones had an impressive performance with 36 points and 12 rebounds but could not secure the victory for Converge.

San Miguel now clinches a pivotal series advantage and will aim to seal their semifinal berth in Game 3 on Monday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
