Converge beats San Miguel in OT, clinches historic playoff win

The Converge FiberXers staged an extraordinary comeback on Monday evening, defeating the San Miguel Beermen in Game 3 of their PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup quarterfinals with a final score of 114-112.

Converge overcame a 27-point deficit and forced overtime before Alec Stockton's buzzer-beating jumper secured the victory, marking Converge’s first playoff win in franchise history.

Stockton was named Best Player of the Game with 20 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, despite nearly getting ejected for an ill-advised foul near the end of regulation that temporarily put Converge at risk.

Justin Arana led Converge with 23 points and 11 rebounds in a strong comeback effort, while Jalen Jones contributed 17 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.

San Miguel's EJ Anosike led all scorers with 39 points but it wasn't enough as Stockton’s game-winning shot secured Converge’s place for Game 4 on Friday.
