SGA secures third straight win in Dubai tourney

Strong Group Athletics (SGA) secured their third consecutive win in the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship by defeating Sharjah SC with a score of 100-63 early Friday morning (Manila time), advancing to the semifinals.

DeMarcus Cousins led SGA with 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block, while Chris McCullough contributed 20 points and six rebounds.

SGA overcame an early deficit of six points in the first quarter to launch a significant run that extended their lead to 16 by halftime.

The Philippine-based squad maintained control throughout the game, increasing their advantage to 37 points at the finish line.

With this victory, SGA will face another team in the semifinals round scheduled for Saturday.
