Philippines: NCR Plus under GCQ, 21 areas MECQ until end-June

President Duterte announced that the National Capital Region Plus (NCR Plus) will remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 30, with some areas having heightened restrictions.

Metro Manila and Bulacan are under GCQ with some restrictions, while Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite have heightened restrictions.

Additionally, twenty-one areas across the country, mostly in Mindanao, will be placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from June 16 to June 30 due to rising COVID-19 cases.
