Senators reject transport ban on unvaccinated

Senators on Thursday rejected a government plan to ban unvaccinated people from public transportation in Metro Manila.

Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III stated there should be no discrimination against unvaccinated commuters and urged the DOTr to find alternative ways to protect them, such as reserving certain coaches or buses for them.

Sotto emphasized that the government has a duty to serve people who don't want to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
