DOTr denies 'no vax, no ride' is anti-poor

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) denied that its 'No vaccination, no ride' policy is anti-poor and apologized for any inconvenience it might cause.

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) warned against the policy, stating it restricts fundamental rights and affects Filipinos' access to basic services like food, work, and healthcare.

CHR spokesperson Jacqueline de Guia urged DOTr to review the ban, noting that many Filipinos rely on public transport for essential needs and lack private vehicle access.
