DOTr: Workers exempt from 'no vax, no ride' since start

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) clarified that essential workers have been exempt from the 'no vaccine, no ride' policy in public transportation since its implementation on Monday.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III stated that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated workers are exempted from the policy as they provide essential services and their absence could disrupt businesses and the economy.

Bello urged agencies enforcing the policy to conduct a massive information drive to avoid confusion among the public and ensure that workers are not unfairly penalized.
