Senate passes Bayanihan 2 with PHP140B fund

The Senate passed the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act on third and final reading with 22 affirmative votes and one negative vote from Senator Francis Pangilinan.

The PHP140-billion stimulus fund aims to support various socio-economic and health programs amid the coronavirus pandemic, including PHP10 billion for testing supplies and boosting DOH capacity.

Another PHP15 billion is allocated for a cash-for-work program in communities, while PHP17 billion will assist displaced workers or employees.
