Senators seek COA audit of gov't COVID funds

Seven senators have called for a special audit by the Commission on Audit (COA) of government spending related to the coronavirus response under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

The resolution comes amid over 80,000 confirmed cases and nearly 2,000 deaths from COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque welcomed the audit, stating that the administration has nothing to hide and weekly reports have been submitted to Congress on Bayanihan Act implementation.
