Aspirants race to file COCs for NLE 2025

Monday, October 7, marks the second to the last day for aspirants in the National and Local Elections (NLE) 2025 to file their certificates of candidacy (COCs) with the Commission on Elections.

A total of 18,280 elective positions will be contested, including 12 senatorial seats, 63 party-list representatives, and 254 members of the House of Representatives in legislative districts.

The list also includes 82 governorships and vice-governorships, 149 city mayoral and vice-mayoral positions, 1,493 municipal mayor and vice-mayor posts, and 1,690 city council seats along with 11,948 municipal council seats.

Aspirants for national posts such as senators and party-list groups must file their COCs at the Manila Hotel Tent City, while those seeking local positions do so at Comelec offices and other designated venues.

The last day for filing is on Tuesday, October 8.
