Comelec processes over 7M voter apps for May 2025 elections

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has processed over 7.4 million voter applications since the start of the registration period for the May 2025 midterm elections.

As of September 30, there were a total of 7,427,354 registrants, with 3,630,968 males and 3,805,587 females.

Calabarzon recorded the highest number of registrants at 1,223,159, followed by the National Capital Region with 997,062, Central Luzon with 834,467, BARMM with 416,866, and Davao Region with 411,879.

Other regions such as Central Visayas, Bicol, Northern Mindanao, Ilocos region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Negros Island Region, Eastern Visayas, Soccsksargen, Western Visayas, Mimaropa, Cagayan Valley, and Caraga also saw significant numbers of registrants.

The lowest number of registrants was recorded in the Cordillera Administrative Region at 111,410.
