SMC donates testing machines for COVID-19

SMC is donating high-capacity RT-PCR machines and testing kits to the DOH to aid in mass COVID-19 testing.

The equipment sets can conduct 11,000 tests per day and will be distributed to hospitals such as RITM, San Lazaro Hospital, Vicente Sotto Medical Center, and Southern Philippines Medical Center.

SMC also donated additional test kits for up to 20,000 more tests.

The donation aims to boost the DOH's testing capacity as the country plans a safe transition out of quarantine by mid-May.
