San Juan prepares storage, centers for incoming COVID-19 vaccines

San Juan City is preparing storage facilities and vaccination centers for incoming COVID-19 vaccines.

Mayor Francis Zamora said the San Juan gymnasium will be the primary vaccination center, with barangay and school facilities also being considered.

The city is in talks with private cold chain facilities to store Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines at -70 degrees Celsius if they are allocated to Metro Manila.

For AstraZeneca vaccines, which require storage between 2-8 degrees Celsius, the city's warehouse will be used.
